Pennington Apothecary
We accept all insurances, including (but not limited to) Medco, Express Scripts, CVS/Caremark, BCBS, Aetna, Optum and all Medicare and Medicaid plans. If you have a question about a specific company or plan, please contact us.
All you need to do is call us or stop in with the name of your current pharmacy as well as what prescription(s) you’d like transferred, we take care of the rest. If we have any additional questions during the process we will notify you.
If you have prescription insurance we should be the same price as your current pharmacy (unless you use mail order, which may be less expensive by forcibly limiting competition). If you have no prescription insurance we can almost guarantee we will be less expensive than your current pharmacy. If you use CVS, Rite Aid or Walgreens then we will be much less expensive.
We actually do not have the ability to know why you are being charged what you are, or how your co-pay are being set. It is best to call your insurance company directly if you are confused about your co-pay.
The bottom of your bottle states how many refills you have remaining on your prescription. If you have lost of misplaced your bottle, please contact us.
In most cases your insurance company will dictate how early you can refill a particular medication. For controlled prescriptions, our policy states they must be at least 80% used up from the previous fill.
You may if you wish, but we will gladly contact them for you to obtain refills.
